Notice of Public Comment Period and Public Hearing
The Town of Woodway Planning Commission and the Washington State Department of Ecology will conduct a joint local/state public hearing at the time, date and place listed below for consideration of amendments to the Town’s Shoreline Master Program (SMP) and Critical Area Regulations (CAR) related to wetlands. The Town has prepared draft SMP amendments to keep the SMP current with changes in state law, changes in other Town plans and regulations, and other changed local circumstances to complete the Town’s periodic review of its shoreline master program under RCW 90.58.080(4).
Time: January 2, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
Place: Woodway Town Hall, 23920 113th Place W.,Woodway, WA 98020
Purpose of the Public Hearing: Consideration of amendments to the Town’s Shoreline Master Program and Critical Area Regulations related to wetlands. The Planning Commission will conduct the hearing, receive public testimony and act on the application.
Applicant: Town of Woodway
Property Location: The SMP amendment proposal affects all lands within the Town’s Shoreline jurisdiction that include 200’ landward of the ordinary high water-mark of Puget Sound and the aquatic designation situated waterward of the ordinary high water-mark. The CAR amendment proposal affects all lands containing critical areas, such as wetlands.
Dept. of Ecology joint comment Period: The Town of Woodway and the Washington State Department of Ecology are conducting a combined thirty-day comment period on the Shoreline Master Program amendments from December 24, 2018 through January 24,2019.
