Point Wells Area – Urban Village Zone District Amendments

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Woodway Planning Commission will hold a hybrid Public Hearing on Wednesday August 18, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. or as called as soon thereafter, in‑person and via Microsoft Teams.

The purpose of the public hearing is for the Planning Commission to consider public comments regarding amendments to the Urban Village Zone District (WMC 14.40) and to forward a recommendation to the Town Council. The Town Council will consider the recommendation and, pursuant to RCW 35A.14.330-340, receive public comments at two public hearings scheduled for September 7 and October 18 at 6:00 pm. Any amendments approved by the Town Council will become effective upon annexation.

Any interested person(s) may provide oral and written public testimony regarding this issue at the public hearing. Directions for virtual participation in the public hearing can be found on the Town’s website. Written comments may also be submitted prior to the public hearing to Heidi Napolitino, Clerk-Treasurer at heidi@townofwoodway.com. Comments received by noon on the day of the meeting will be provided to the Planning Commission electronically for consideration at that evening’s meeting. Comments received after that deadline will be provided to the Planning Commission after the meeting. If for any reason this hearing cannot be completed, the Planning Commission may continue it to another date. No further notice of a continued hearing is required.

The Town of Woodway will attempt to accommodate any special needs of those wishing to attend. If you require special accommodation, please contact Town Hall a minimum of three (3) working days prior to the meeting date.

Notice of SEPA Threshold Determination

Proposal: Adoption of the Amendments to the Urban Village Zone District (WMC 14.40) harmonizing density limitations with Snohomish County code and providing consistency with the provisions of RCW 35A.14.296 related to the annexation of land pursuant to an interlocal agreement.

Threshold Determination: The Town of Woodway has determined that the proposed amendments to the Urban Village Zone District (WMC 14.40) do not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment, and on July 22, 2021 issued a Determination of Non-Significance.

Public Comment Period: The DNS was issued under WAC 197-11-340(2); the lead agency will not act on this proposal for 14 days from the date below. Comments must be submitted by August 6, 2021.
