Pursuant to WMC14A.04.070, notice is hereby given that an application to amend the Town’s zoning code to prohibit short-term rentals has been prepared by the Town of Woodway and will be processed according to the provisions of the Woodway Municipal Code.

Project Description: The application is to amend the Zoning Regulations prohibiting short-term rental units within the Town boundaries per new code sections WMC 14.08.305, 14.20.025, 14.24.025, 14.28.025, 14.32.025, 14.36.025, 14.38.025, & 14.40.025.
Requested Approvals: The request is to receive approval of the code amendments by the Town of Woodway Council.

Public Hearing Date: The Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on the proposed code amendments on July 6, 2022, at 7:00 pm. A separate public hearing notice will be published, posted on Town reader boards pursuant to WMC 14A.04.080. The public hearing notice will include information and a link to access the virtual public hearing. Any person may participate in the public hearing.
Public Comment Period: This Notice establishes a 14-day public comment period ending July 6, 2022. Comments received during this time can be used in preparation of the Town Staff Report and recommendation to the Planning Commission. Public comment is not limited to this period. Public comments will be accepted at the public hearing before the Woodway Planning Commission.
Decision Timeline: The Woodway Planning Commission will conduct an open record public hearing and render a recommendation to the Town Council within 14 days of the conclusion of the record. Notice of Public Hearing
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Woodway Town Council will hold a public hearing during their regular meeting on Monday August 1, 2022.
The purpose of the hearing is to take public comment on an amendment to the Annexation and Development Agreement, dated August 10, 2015, between the Town and Point Wells LLC under the provisions of RCW 36.70B.170 et. seq. The primary purpose of the amendment is to eliminate provisions that no longer apply and to provide the property owner with the option of building a single-family house on an existing lot, without subdividing the remainder of the property.

If for any reason this hearing cannot be completed, the Council may continue it to another date. No further notice of a continued hearing is required. The purpose of the Town Fair is to foster community engagement and provide information to the public. The Town Fair will take place at Town Hall, 23920 113th Place W., Woodway, WA 98020.
